DAAC Hermes S.A. has obtained the Certificate of Credibility for the most honest taxpayer at the Honest Taxpayer Gala 2024, organized by the State Fiscal Service of the Republic of Moldova.
The certificate was presented to the First Vice President of DAAC Hermes S.A., Igor Șcerbinschi, by the Minister of Finance, Petru Rotaru, the Director of the State Fiscal Service, Olga Golban, and the President of the Economy, Budget and Finance Commission, Radu Marian.
The distinction was awarded due to the company DAAC Hermes S.A. meeting several indicators throughout its activities, namely: compliance with tax payment and state tax conformity indicators; absence of violations in the last three years following inspections; absence of arrears in the budget by the end of the last fiscal year, etc.
As a result of this remarkable achievement, DAAC Hermes S.A. will be exempt from tax inspections initiated by tax authorities for the next two years, thereby confirming its status as an honest and credible taxpayer.
At the event, the Head of State, Maia Sandu, was also present and thanked “the honest companies who understand that respect for the law and honesty are the cornerstones without which we cannot become a developed country.”
“I appreciate that you not only create jobs at home but also work transparently and honestly. I know that sometimes this way of working puts you in an unfair competition with those who choose to bend the law. Therefore, I thank you even more for acting beyond the goal of short and quick gains and caring for the entire community to which your honestly paid taxes go, as well as for the image of our country,” said Maia Sandu.
Meanwhile, Olga Golban, the Director of the State Fiscal Service of the Republic of Moldova, stated that honest taxpayers not only fulfill their tax obligations but also actively contribute to the economic and social development of the country.
“It is important to highlight the role of taxpayers, who contribute to the formation of the National Public Budget income by honoring their tax obligations on time, maintaining and creating jobs, and supporting the development of our country. We are honored and highly appreciate the activities they carry out and their contribution to promoting fiscal civism and compliance with tax obligations. We express sincere thanks and gratitude for their perseverance and capacity to increase performance, having today among us 100 honest taxpayers,” said Olga Golban.
The Honest Taxpayer Gala 2024 was organized on the occasion of the professional day – Fiscal Officer Day and the 34th anniversary of the establishment of the State Fiscal Service of the Republic of Moldova.
